Abstract
The project examines empirically the decision by entities to join the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and to remain as members over time. Membership of the UNGC is an explicit signal of ‘good’ corporate citizenship by commitment to the UNGC Ten Principles which focus on human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption, and carries the responsibility to periodically report against those principles.
